Hello friends. We will be previewing one track per week from our upcoming record on our myspace page in the order in which they'll appear on the record.

In other news, we will be releasing a remix album later in 2009 featuring some amazing artists. More on that soon.

Balmorhea shot a video session for Kut's In Context program. The video should air and be posted sometime soon.

We have a couple Austin shows upcoming as well as a few in the NW with Peter Broderick, Tiny Vipers and Helios. If you live in that lovely region we hope to see you at a show.

The Tour EP is now officially sold out. Thanks to all who ordered one.

And finally, Europe/UK looks like a reality in April and May of 2009. We will be doing approxiamtely 25-30 shows all over the great continent. Updates and dates to come shortly.

Welcome to the newly designed and updated BALMORHEA site.

NEW RECORD!: 'ALL IS WILD, ALL IS SILENT'
Balmorhea just finished recording and mixing our new record, "All Is Wild, All Is Silent"
with the magical Andrew Hernandez at Premium Recording in Austin, Texas.

If you have seen us live since last spring you've heard some of the tracks that will appear on this record.
We couldn't be more satisfied with the sessions and how the end result sounds.

It was mastered by Jeff Lipton at Peerless in Boston, who has laid claim to some greats,
such as David Bowie, Woody Guthrie, Jimi Hendrix, Magnetic Fields and Wilco!

It is slated to be released by Western Vinyl Records on March 10, 2009. Digitally a bit sooner perhaps.

Our lovely touring mate last summer, Jesy Fortino of Tiny Vipers also flew down to add some hauntingly beautiful vocals on a couple tracks.

We will post some photos from the recording sessions and some audio soon. The image on the index page of this
site is the cover for the new record. The track listing is available on the DISC. page.
